Advice for Entrants
Spend as much time as possible on your application form; it is all the judges have to go on when considering your application.
If you consider something to be worth noting make sure you write it down. The judges may not be able to fully research you or your business and may not necessarily be experts in your industry.
Your company, product or service should be explained clearly and concisely. If your application is unclear the judges are unlikely to shortlist it.
You only get one chance to impress the judges so make sure you really sell your business, its aspirations and achievements.
If entering more than one category do not re-use the same answers, think about the criteria and what qualities the category is seeking to recognise.
Testimonials from customers or employees are great ways of conveying the strengths of your business and can be included if you wish. However, do not attach brochures, leaflets or other such material to your application form unless it is necessary.
Using an application from previous years may save time but it is unlikely to draw upon the success you have enjoyed in the last year. Take the time to update your entry.
Get a colleague and a totally independent person to check your application. You are not always your own best proof reader!
Here at Archant London we value the opinion of our customers.
